The Rockadove team attended the lively Wales Blog Awards at cultural art-space Chapter Arts Centre on Thursday 15th May and we were also proud sponsors of the multimedia category. With a passion for both blogging and multimedia content, sponsoring this category was an obvious choice as we are always keen to help raise the profile of people who share the view that both types of content are integral platforms for the future of digital content.

The Wales Blog Awards is an annual event that celebrates those with passion to share their knowledge with others and raise the profile of this growing industry. The glittering awards ceremony saw bloggers from all backgrounds come together to celebrate writing about things that really matter to them; from coping with life changing circumstances, to putting pen to paper about political matters. The winner of the multimedia category was ‘Drowning Dogs’, a very innovative and visual blog. ‘Drowning Dogs’ interview artists, designers and makers from all around the world. One of the most interesting and unique aspects of this blog is that the interviews are handwritten, check out the blog here.

We were keen to get involved with the Wales Blog Awards to recognise both professional and hobbyist bloggers, who use blogging to share their knowledge and expertise. The finalists in the multimedia category show great passion and talent; it’s great that we could showcase them at this event. We wanted to sponsor this category because when it’s about multimedia, it’s about the visual and that’s when we get excited.

Blogging is on the rise for both professionals and those who enjoy blogging socially. It’s a way of educating and inspiring audiences by expressing a passion for something through writing. We use our Rockadove blog to tell our story, give our opinion on a variety of digital marketing areas and explain our services in more detail. We blog through video, words and images, which we feel is really important to resonate effectively with our audience.

Do you have a blog? What makes blogging so important to you and your business?
