On Friday 15th November we were delighted to be a sponsor at the WCVA Welsh Charity Awards, held at the National Musuem, Cardiff.  A tremendous event celebrating all that is great about our Third Sector, here in Wales. Even Dippy the Dinosaur made an appearance, providing the perfect centre piece for the event.

Rockadove sponsored the drinks reception and Young Volunteer of the Year Award, which went to Laura Moulding who truly deserved the award for her amazing efforts.

The evening was also our oportunity to announce the winner of the Rockadove Third Sector Prize.

In this, Rockadoves tenth year in business, we wanted to create something meaningful to celebrate.  So we launched the Rockadove Third Sector Prize at Gofod3 in May, and invited charities, social enterprises and not-for-profit organisations from across Wales to bid to win a £10,000 video marketing campaign.

We received more than 50 entries this year, which is amazing, and it was tough to make the final choice.  So we would like to thank everyone who submitted entries!

However, the winners of our first (hopefully of many) Third Sector Prize goes to Carmethen-headquartered charity, Cerebra!

Their entry presented us with a real challenge and, being both a health and a childrens charity they operate in a crowded sector.  The campaign we are working on with them will launch in January next year, so keep your eyes peeled!
