Brief
Approached by SBW Advertising who had an ambitious creative idea for this campaign. They knew Rockadove were the only animation studio in South Wales who could fulfil the technical brief of this campaign project. To design and build 3D animated models in a claymation style, that could be brought to life with personality and charm.
What we did
We worked through a number of iterations for the style of the buildings and characters, before settling on what you now see in the videos. It utilised negative space to put focus on the buildings in the centre of frame, whilst allowing us to cut in close to show of detail and add character to the animation.
Fully designed and built in-house, the 3D models have the perfect level of imperfection to give that authentic claymation look and feel, whilst being fully customisable and animated digitally.
Producing a hero advert, social shorts and delivering CGI images of the buildings to be used across wider marketing collateral, across OOH, print and online.
